Vinyl Junkies is an, Amsterdam based, electronic music and art blog/magazine. We push electronic music, art and dj culture to promote the artists, inspire the fanatics and to stimulate all creativity around it.
It serves as a platform for the participating artists, writers/bloggers ~ like djs, producers, video artists, photographers, writers and designers ~ By featuring their work, or the stuff that they are passionate about, on our website we help to maximize their reach for their audience, and hope to inspire the fanatics and fans.
We mainly focus on the dutch electronic music/dance scene. But since the scene is influenced by foreign countries, and visa verca, we are also open to different styles from different countries. At the moment you can only join Vinyl Junkies by invitation, but if you would like to get featured on our website you can drop us your track on soundcloud or send us your artwork by mail. You will automatically get an invite to join Vinyl Junkies when your work is selected. When you are a member of Vinyl Junkies you can post and promote your own music, videos or copy or related public content of other people who inspire you.
OUR MISSION
The house/dance scene is a big business, commercial industry, build for mass-consumption, not always doing good to what 'House Music' really stands for. While simultaneously on a sub-level a lot of interesting stuff happens. We like to promote these efforts, and use new media to connect and inspire people. This way, we hope to contribute to the positive development and stimulation of the house/dance culture.
We push house music and it's creative, artistic, free-thinking, open minded, social culture in general. We feature artists we like, and want to help promote their work, to inspire one another. Not only music, also photography, graphic design, art and fashion.
